Este nombramiento se da en el marco de la reapertura del museo y de las salas de exhibici\u00f3n de su colecci\u00f3n, luego de dos a\u00f1os de estar cerradas al p\u00fablico.<\/p>\n<p>Sharon Lerner ha trabajado en el MALI por una d\u00e9cada. Fue Curadora de Arte Contempor\u00e1neo entre 2012 y 2019, Curadora en Jefe del Museo entre junio y diciembre de 2021, y asumir\u00e1 el cargo de Directora oficialmente a partir de enero de 2022.<\/p>\n<p>Lerner asume el nuevo cargo y el reto de guiar a la instituci\u00f3n en esta nueva etapa de la mano de una plana curatorial de reconocidos profesionales comprometidos con el museo.[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_single_image image=&#8221;6498&#8243; img_size=&#8221;medium&#8221; alignment=&#8221;center&#8221; onclick=&#8221;img_link_large&#8221; img_link_target=&#8221;_blank&#8221;][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_empty_space][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<strong>Sobre Sharon Lerner<br \/>\n<\/strong><br \/>\nSharon Lerner fue Curadora de Arte Contempor\u00e1neo del MALI entre 2012 y 2019 y Curadora en Jefe del Museo de la misma instituci\u00f3n  Arte de Lima \u2013 MALI entre junio y diciembre de 2021. Obtuvo su maestr\u00eda en Pr\u00e1ctica de Curadur\u00eda en el California College of the Arts  de San Francisco (2010).<\/p>\n<p>En el 2010 obtuvo el 101 Curatorial Fellowship del Wattis Institute for Contemporary Arts y paralelamente se desempe\u00f1\u00f3 como investigadora para la Kadist Art Foundation en San Francisco, EEUU. Ha editado el libro Arte contempor\u00e1neo. Colecci\u00f3n Museo de Arte de Lima (MALI, 2013), as\u00ed como cat\u00e1logos sobre la obra de Armando Andrade Tudela, Fernando Bedoya, Johanna Hamann, Alejandro Alayza, Emilio Rodr\u00edguez Larra\u00edn y Jorge Eduardo Eielson.<\/p>\n<p>En 2015 integr\u00f3 el equipo curatorial del 3er Encuentro de Medell\u00edn (MED15). Entre 2015 y 2017 form\u00f3 parte del equipo curatorial para el proyecto \u201cMemories of Underdevelopment\u201c, organizado por el Museum of Contemporary Art de San Diego, el MALI, el Museo Jumex de M\u00e9xico, de y la Getty Foundation. En 2019 realiz\u00f3 la secci\u00f3n de artistas del Per\u00fa como pa\u00eds invitado en ARCOmadrid.[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_empty_space][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_separator border_width=&#8221;2&#8243;][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h4><strong>MUSEO DE ARTE DE LIMA \u2013 MALI ANNOUNCES THE APPOINTMENT OF SHARON LERNER AS NEW DIRECTOR OF THE INSTITUTION<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]Museo de Arte de Lima \u2013 MALI is pleased to announce the appointment of<strong> Sharon Lerner as new Director of the museum<\/strong>. The decision was ratified in the latest General Assembly of Associates on December 5th. This designation takes place in the context of the reopening of the galleries that hold the museum\u2019s collections, which were closed to the public for over two years. Lerner has worked at the MALI for almost a decade. She was Curator of Contemporary Art at the institution between 2012 and 2019, Chief Curator of the museum between June and December 2021 and will officially assume the Direction in January 2022. Lerner assumes the new position and the challenge of guiding the institution in a new period, along with a curatorial team committed to the museum and its mission.[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]<strong>About Sharon Lerner<\/strong><br \/>\nSharon Lerner was MALI\u2019s Contemporary Curator between 2012 y 2019 and Chief Curator of the Institution between June and December 2021. She obtained an MA in Curatorial Practice by the California College of the Arts in San Francisco (2010). In 2010 she obtained the 101 Curatorial Fellowship of the Wattis Institute of Contemporary Arts and in parallel developed research for the Kadist Art Foundation in San Francisco, US. At MALI she has curated over twenty exhibitions and has been in charge of publications such as Arte contempor\u00e1neo. Colecci\u00f3n Museo de Arte de Lima (MALI, 2013), as well as catalogues on the work of artists Armando Andrade Tudela, Fernando Bedoya, Emilio Rodr\u00edguez Larra\u00edn, Jorge Eduardo Eielson, Johanna Hamann and Alejandro Alayza at the ICPNA. In 2015 she took part of the curatorial team in charge of the 3er Encuentro de Medell\u00edn (MED15). Between 2015 and 2017 she took part of the curatorial team in charge of \u201cMemories of Underdevelopment\u201c, a project organized by the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego, the MALI, Museo Jumex in Mexico in the frame of the Pacific Standard Time Los Angeles\/Latin America launched by the Getty Foundation.
